Okay so a week ago I posted about Blind Man’s Colour, and how amazing they are.  Well here they are again, well kind of, they and a couple others have created a cover album of the recently released Animal Collective album, Merriweather Post Pavilion.   They for sure covered, In the Flowers, Taste, and Brothersport.  Besides those titles, the remaining songs have been covered by those of the Animal Collective forum.  This album is actually pretty amazing, very acoustic and different from Merriweather Post Pavilion.  As most of you know, I have creamed my pants over it, but this cover album is pretty fucking awesome. Definitely something new and exciting to listen to, at least until they (Blind Man’s Colour) release their album. I like love it, and I’m sure you will. So thank you Blind Man’s Colour for your generosity.

Okay, it doesn’t hit the streets until 20 January 2009, but…I thought I’d give those of you who haven’t heard it, a chance to christen your ears with euphony. The Baltimore based noise band, Animal Collective, is releasing a new album; Merriweather Post Pavilion. It goes right back to their roots of raw noise, resonating vocals, and entrancing beats with a hint of adolescence.  When listening to the track “My Girls”, “Summertime Clothes”, or “Brother Sport” I am immediately taken to my own personal never never land, except no asshole flying around in green tights and no MJ lurking in the bushes ready to trounce my porcelain skin.

After listening to the album, you are almost instantly soothed.  Almost a mix of feelings between being tucked in by your parents as a child and an acrophobic standing over the glass skywalk at the grand canyon.  If you don’t believe me, buy it.  If you’re a fan of Animal Collective, you’ll fall in love, if you’ve never heard of Animal Collective you’ll fall in love.

Still Skeptical? Check out their Myspace.com page to hear more.
